“Ánimas: U Suut Pixano’ob” (The Return of the Souls) is an exhibition that captures everyday moments of life in Mérida and its surrounding communities.
An exhibition and sale of mucbipollos, a traditional Yucatecan dish made of corn dough, chicken, and spices, wrapped in banana leaves and baked underground. The event also features regional artistic performances.
“The Pixán Doesn’t Scare Me” will be presented! Bring the whole family to enjoy a Yucatecan comedy by Cuxum, celebrating the Pixán, the souls of the departed, in a lighthearted and festive way!
In this lively performance, the spirits or “pixanes” of the departed dance to the rhythm of the jarana in a traditional Yucatecan show.
