APRIL 26th-30th
Did you know that children’s Day is a special day celebrated in México, and many other parts of the world?
To honor and recognize the importance of children in society, it is celebrated on April 30th each year in Merida. The history of Children’s Day dates back to the early 20th century when child labor was prevalent, and children’s rights were often overlooked. However, in 1925, the World Conference for the Well-being of Children was held in Geneva, and it was declared that every country should have a day dedicated to celebrating children.
In Merida, this week, there will be various activities planned for children to celebrate Children’s Day. These activities include games, crafts, music, and more. The city aims to provide a fun and safe environment for children to play and learn while celebrating their importance in society. Families visiting Merida can join in the celebrations and make lasting memories with their children.
